A Tribute to Tita Cory

Tita Cory, Asia's Icon of Democracy, is a constant reminder for us to stand for what we fought for not so long ago, a democratic society we paid dearly with our blood and tears.
As we almost feel asleep, the lord takes her away to awaken us before our country would fall again to the ruthless claw of a few political opportunists.
Thank you, Tita Cory, for leading us out of the evil of dictatorship.
Thank you for reminding us, your oppressed countrymen, not again to fell prey to the deception of dirty politics and fear of a few tyrants.
Thank you for refueling our courage to stand against the terror of the oppressive few.
Thank you for reminding us that our children need a free and peaceful country to live by.
And thank you for reminding us that such a great responsibility rest not only upon your shoulder, but upon all of us the Filipino People, as one....
